DATES CONFIRMED: Chatanika River Bridge 96-hour reduced restrictions will start at 7AM on SATURDAY, JUNE 15 and end at 7AM on WEDNESDAY, JUNE 19.
Please coordinate your oversize load permits with the MS/CVE office. As a reminder, you will need to include the dates you will be hauling oversize loads when coordinating with MS/CVE. After you obtain your permit, please contact project staff to let them know when you will be traveling through the project.
Below you will find a flyer with updated detailed information and a graphic showing how oversize loads will move over the bridge deck.
Additional Details:
Phase 1 of Chatanika River Bridge construction at MP 11 on the Elliott Highway will last until June 15 at 7a.m
During phase 1, a width restriction of 13’3” between rails, which have a height of 32”, was in place.
Between phase 1 and phase 2, from June 15 at 7 a.m. to June 19 at 7 a.m., the maximum width on the bridge will be increased to 20’6”.
During phase 2, starting June 19 at 7 a.m., the lane width will be restricted back to 13’3” between rails, which will have new rails at an increased height of 36”.
